What data we collect and why.
- Nickname you type — shown publicly on the leaderboard together with your spins and timestamps. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box before joining.
- Spin count and spin history tied to that nickname — used to run the leaderboard and to enforce the 3-spins-per-hour fair-play limit. Legal basis: consent / legitimate interest in keeping the game fair for everyone.
- Aggregate visitor counter — a simple total of page opens, not linked to any individual. Legal basis: legitimate interest (basic usage statistics).
- Approximate country — guessed from your browser's timezone setting (e.g. "Europe/Rome" → Italy), stored only as an aggregate count per country, never linked to your nickname or identity. Legal basis: legitimate interest (basic usage statistics).
- Local browser storage (not a tracking cookie) — your nickname, sound on/off preference, and a couple of flags used to avoid double-counting your visits/spins are saved in your own browser's local storage. This never leaves your device except when explicitly sent to run the features above.
Who can see this data. The nickname, spin history and leaderboard are visible to anyone who opens this page — please don't use your real name or any personal information as your nickname. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
Where data is stored. Shared game data is stored using Google Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure). This means data may be processed on servers located outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States, under Google's standard contractual safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it. Data is kept for as long as the game is online, or until you ask us to delete it. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule.
Your rights. Under the GDPR you can ask us, at any time, to: access the data we hold about your nickname, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@lastourhero.com — since nicknames aren't linked to a verified identity, we may ask you to confirm which nickname and approximate spin dates are yours before acting on the request. You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Italy: Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, garanteprivacy.it).
Automated decisions. We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Children. This game is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
